CLINICAL TRIALS |
| OVERVIEW This research is being done to determine if the immune system can be stimulated to fight against advanced cancer when cryosurgery is combined with cyclophosphamide infusion, which is a certain form of chemotherapy. Both cryosurgery and cyclophosphamide chemotherapy are already currently in widespread use for the treatment of cancer. However, this is the first time this particular combination is being evaluated. ELIGIBILITY Patients with cancer who are not candidates for or are unwilling to undergo resection; anyone eligible for cryotherapy, but not expected to be cured by the cryotherapy alone. Eligible diagnoses include Renal cancer, Prostate cancer, Lung cancer,Breast cancer, Sarcoma, Colon cancer, Liver cancer, Pancreatic cancer, Bone cancer, Head & Neck cancer, Melanoma, Lymphoma, Carcinoma of unknown primary. Other criterias are:
b) ECOG* status of <2 c) Patients must be capable of informed consent d) Life expectancy > 3 months e) Creatinine <2.5, platelets >75,000/mm3, INR<1.5 f) Patients must be geographically accessible and willing to participate in all stages of treatment.
